Ben Meyers' summary of Reacher Season 1: This television series runs at the suitable to okay watch. Alan Ritchson, serves as a good casting choice for the series. The final Episode, number 8, ends well with a light introduction of a cliff hanger to prepare the audience for  Season 2.

 Jack Reacher wants to take some time for himself, so he travels to Margraves, Georgia. But when this town starts to get 'hairy', he is on the case.

Episode 1: Welcome to Margrave

Welcome to Margrave—great episode backed with a good storyline—shows why Alan Ritchson is a great choice to fill the lead role. He's got that tough guy look and follows it through with action. 

Storyline 

Reacher travels to Margraves, Georgia to take a little time for himself, but finds things in this town aren’t as they seem.

Episode 2: First Dance

First Dance has fight scenes that are a little 'television-ish' but they work. It provokes enough interest to make the audience want to view Episode 3. Watch for actor Bruce McGill in this episode. Be aware there is adult content not suitable for children in this episode.  

Storyline 

Reacher with the local head of police and a female police officer to investigate Joe Reacher’s death.

Spoonful—enhances the basic story by developing the story and giving more insight into Reacher's character. The writing is great. Portrayal and presentation are great.   

Storyline 

Finley and Reacher visit the Kliner place of business for information. Reacher searches for Spivey.

Episode 4: In a Tree

In a Tree—increases knowledge about Jack Reacher and his Margrave team of police. This has great presentation and the portrayal is good. Be aware of some sexual scenes that narrow audience range in this episode.  

Storyline 

Jack Reacher questions Joe Reacher's associate about reasons behind Joe's presence in Margrave. He 'cleans up a few bad apples' in the process.

No Apologies—begins to get technical, starts to fall apart with jargon, and general execution of story toward the middle and conclusion of story. Be aware that there is some nudity that narrows audience range in this episode. 

Storyline 

Reacher gets a call from a friend, who is a private investigator, to meet in Memphis to gain a wider look at the spectrum of Reacher's quest.

Maybe. Less well-written than previous episodes, with multiple montages that give it a feeling that this episode was 'thrown together' to create a type of diversion to keep audience interest in place.

Papier—leans heavily into television drama and soap opera quality of presentation. It starts to show its TV quality and seems to also show some soap opera-type drama. If this portrayal of story had been used in the first episode, it may not have lasted as long as it did. 

Storyline 

Things are 'heating up' and getting closer to solving the case in Margraves, Georgia.

Reacher Said Nothing—suitablebegins closure of the season with one episode to go. It continues its constancy of presentation and portrayal. It does not seem so television-ish as the last episode. 

 Storyline 

Reacher uncovers information that link Margrave to Venezuela and counterfeit money.

Pie—final wrap-up of Season 1ends on an up-swing to encourage the audience to watch Season 2 which released in December 2023. Alan Ritchman performs well and provides suitable entertainment.  

 Storyline 

Reacher and Finlay wrap up loose ends and get rid of  'bad apples'. A better town awaits for those who desire to live there.
