Heartland—about 40-minutes—covers a lot of history in a short time. WOW! This has great presentation, interviews, and narration. Terrific believability and realistic presentation. Educating and entertaining . It appears on Amazon Freevee and YouTube.
The Civil War has ended and the frontier is
being explored on a wider scale. Homesteaders are becoming a major force and the train industry is
becoming a mainstay way of traveling cross country.

Storyline
This episode moves into modern buildings/skyscrapers for the cityscape; the building and erection of the Statue of Liberty, given as a gift from France; the establishment of New York's sanitation/cleanliness standards to clean city slums. Edison invents the light bulb while Carnegie becomes the wealthiest man in the United States as steel is made less expensive and more plentiful.
