KENJI MIYAZAWA’S NIGHT ON THE GALACTIC RAILROAD * (VHS Release Japan 1985)

 Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.6|5.0 Starsììì

Kenji Miyazawa’s Night on the Galactic Railroad—animated film based on the 1934 novel of the same name—has good visuals. The movie needs a plotline read before going due to the complicated, mysterious, and obscure storyline. An audience may follow the film, because it is interesting, and believe there is a revelation coming soon. Know there is no revelation and without that necessary plotline read, even the slightest comprehension is not going to happen here. The movie sets itself up for a sequel, but to date a sequel has not been announced.
