GAMERA VS JIGER (Theatrical Release USA 1970)

 Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.8|5.0 Starsììì

Gamera Vs Jiger—simple, cookie-cutter movie with a new monster—has a fair storyline reminiscent of Saturday morning 30-minute short films produced for children in the United States. The animatronics are good for the 1970s. The acting is good. The movie is easy to follow.

? Yes? No? Maybe?

Maybe. Know that there are multiple fights that Gamera tackles in this series. If one watches the Gamera movies as a series, the stories may get old as they follow a similar formatting. However, the latter films seem more child oriented and present a bit softer approach that serve as fairly good adult/teen/child share movies and a good way to explore Japanese entertainment culture.
