The Ice Road, an entertainment gem that may be easily overlooked due to the televised
reality show Ice Road Truckers, works at a high-level entertainment
value. This film from its beginning to its end delivers intense action and
intrigue that far surpasses most movies within this category. While the
televised series informed audiences of the job and its dangers, the movie
expands on the job and adds a storyline that is difficult to compete with. The
special effects are outstanding in both realism and pacing/timing throughout
