Cats—needs character development to engage its
audience. The loss of connectivity early in the movie adds to the general
question, ‘Why did this movie need to be made?’ The animation does not reflect
current techniques available to animated movie makers. The movie is the third
attempt by Director Gary Wang to enter the professional market. It will be
interesting to see his next attempt’s improvement over this film.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?
Maybe. It might work for a child. But for adult/child shares it may be better to watch The Secret Life of Pets, Aristocats (1970 animated version), or Lady and The Tramp (1955 animated version).
