Open Season: Scared Silly—run-of-the-mill—comes off as a wannabe quick money-maker relying on the series’ reputation. If one is looking for a nostalgic repeat of the series, one will not find it in this film as the movie fails to establish the original story’s feel and format. The movie fails to entertain and quickly establishes a boring and rather pointless piece of entertainment. The characters in the story fail to make the critical connection to the audience.
