THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALENCE (Theatrical Release USA 1962)

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
—one of the better John Wayne films—shows how good casting (James Stewart, Vera Miles, Lee Marvin, Edmond O’Brien, Andy Devine, Ken Murray, John Carradine, Jeanette Nolan, John Qualen, Woody Strode, and Denver Pyle) can make or break a movie. This terrific team created a movie that is not only worth watching the first time but easily earns a second watch at a later time. Excellent work by Director John Ford as he brought a story worth viewing to the screen.
