TREMORS (Theatrical Release USA 1990)

Tremors
—cult classic—ironically becomes a film one watches to the end and in later years will watch again. The movie has no cultural value, no depth of storyline and yet manages to survive a watch from beginning to end. Perhaps it is the small-town Hee-Haw comedy that keeps one watching or perhaps the very good casting of Kevin Bacon with Fred Ward, Finn Carter, Michael Gross, and Reba McEntire who work a certain country feel around the story that makes it seem like a bit of Americana. Watch for Special Guest Star Ariana Richards in this less than intellectual, but ‘somehow entertaining anyway’ movie.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes. It’s one of those films that one watches, wonders why they’re watching it, and just keeps watching anyway.
