The Departed, due
to the implant of a mobster within a police department with a simultaneous
implanting of a policeman within mobster ranks, becomes a complicated story
that requires close viewing and complete involvement to follow its storyline. With
its outstanding cast coupled with Director Martin Scorcese’s perfect
orchestration, it becomes a winner in all areas for viewing entertainment. There
is no downtime in this film, every second builds interest and leads to a
satisfying tension-filled conclusion.
