THE GETAWAY (Theatrical Release USA 1972)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 4.3|5.0 Starsìììì

The Getaway
reminds audiences of why Actor Steve McQueen was such a popular actor. The tension, the action, the purposefulness of the film stand in place. The supporting cast—Ben Johnson, Al Silvestri, Slim Pickens, and Jack Dodson—once again remind audiences of the terrific directing skills of Sam Peckinpah in this very well told story. It performs as a book that cannot easily be laid aside without finishing it.
