Stargate taps
the acting skills of Erick Averi, James Spader, and Kurt Russell to tell its
story. Kirk Russell seems to have difficulty getting into his character in this
film, but as he settles in he becomes a good choice for his role as Colonel
Jonathan O’Neil. The sets are spectacular and the costumes are well done. It is
no Star Wars, by any means, but still
makes a good sci fi watch for some afternoon ‘kill’ time.
Storyline
Wormholes,
Egyptology, Pyramids, and ancient hieroglyphs all link together to open an
ancient stargate.
