Pelé: Birth of a Legend—documentary
about one of soccer’s greats—has WOW and Encore! written all over it. Cameraman
Matthew Libatique’s terrific cinematography and camera angles define this work.
The story is well-written, the portrayal is excellent and serves the soccer game
and the athlete, Pele, with a high level of integrity and skill. Directors Jeff
and Michael Zimbalist have Ben Meyers International’s ticket for talent in
biographical movie direction.
