UNDERDOGS (Theatrical Release ARGENTINA 2013)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.0|5.0 Starsììì

Underdogs
suffers from flat, unrelated scenes and a disconnected storyline that has tendency to place high emphasis on less important details while failing to address and highlight the main theme of the movie. The storyline is splattered with completely irrelevant scenes such as foosball figurines jumping on a rock and playing soccer when there is an immediate crisis of saving their human master’s girlfriend that has a much higher priority. Due to these interruptions, the underlying story repeatedly gets lost in the distractions.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

No. There are better films out there like Zootopia or The Nut Job. If studying the Argentine culture, it may be worth a comparison study to see if Argentina typically produces entertainment with the same disconnectedness that this film uses.
