RACING STRIPES (Theatrical Release USA 2005)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Starsììì

Racing Stripes—
cute, B-grade—relies on a voice cast of Frankie Muniz, Mandy Moore, the late Michael Clark Duncan, Jeff Foxworthy, Steve Harvey, Whoopi Goldberg, the late Fred Dalton Thompson, and others to create a fair to middling family movie based on talking animals. It’s clean, predictable, and provides lots of opportunity to get up for popcorn with nothing missed in the interim.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?

Yes. While it’s definitely not an A-grade film, it’s an easy-on-the-mind family share movie bolstered by the talents of Bruce Greenwood and Hayden Panettiere.
