Knowing—excellent
thriller—is one of the best 2009 films on the market. It’s another
thriller/horror movie that plays with mathematical sequencing; but does so in such
a bizarre and unique manner, that one does not remember that preoccupation with
numbers is not a new concept in the filming industry. The script is intact with
sound acting by Nicolas Cage and Chandler Canterbury. The portrayal of
storyline is finely completed. Absolutely do not miss this film.

Storyline
Young
Lucinda (Lara Robinson) sees future catastrophes, links them to dates, correctly
defines location, and knows the number of people who will die in each event.
When asked to place a contribution into her school’s time capsule, her
contribution is a page full of numbers. Fifty years later when the time capsule
is opened, Caleb (Chandler Canterbury) is given Lucinda’s paper to view and without
authorization brings it home. His father, Astrophysics Professor John Koestler
(Nicolas Cage), sees the sequencing in the numbers and, with horror, realizes
the numbers have life threatening consequences for his and his son’s life.
