Free Willy—simple, straight forward story—entertains the young teen/adult audience. It’s like watching Flipper except the main drama revolves around a killer whale rather than a dolphin and a foster home boy rather than a boy with a loving relative.

Storyline

Jesse (Jason James Richter) bonds with a killer whale with an attitude, uncovers a plot to kill the whale, and finds a way to set it free.
