THE RECRUIT (Theatrical Release USA 2003)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.5|5.0 Starsììì

The Recruit—
a hard-to-follow CIA flick—has a mind-twisting storyline and good suspense. There are some unnecessary sexual scenes and sexual references. Overall, it’s a fair spy watch.

Storyline

An MIT computer professional, James Clayton (Colin Farrell), is picked up by the CIA because of his computer skills. He is trained and told by his boss, Walter Burke (Al Pacino) that there is a ‘worm’ in the agency and that he believes it is a girl named Layla Moore (Bridget Moynahan). The rest of the movie details the unraveling of who is the real worm.
