Harry & Snowman—great documentary for horse lovers—tells the story of
Long Islander Harry DeLeyer’s 1950s rescue of a horse bound for the
slaughterhouse.

Storyline
Harry DeLeyer, a Long
Island riding instructor, buys an 8-year-old horse on its way to the
slaughterhouse, finds that it can jump, and within two years has the horse
jumping and winning some of the most prestigious show horse competitions.
