A Merry Friggin’
Christmas is
a film festival movie with a limited theater release in the United States. It’s
a depressing, visual portrayal of familial hatred, disrespect, chronic
alcoholism, abandonment, betrayal, alienation, and complete dysfunction at a
Christmas family gathering. The story’s thin storyline complicates its mediocre
attempt to entertain. Definitely not an uplifting holiday watch, the film
contains very little to smile about.
