THE MIGHTY DUCKS (Theatrical Release USA 1992)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 3.7|5.0 Stars ììì

The Mighty Ducks
—a superior execution of a very good story—causes the Ben Meyers’ team to forget critiquing and actually ‘get lost’ in the film itself. This is a great movie catch for the family entertainment night.

Storyline

Young Gordon Bombay (Brock Pierce) listens to his hockey coach, Coach Reilly (Lane Smith), telling him to do well with a penalty shot. The boy gets into proper position and shoots the puck. It hits the railing of the goal net and the other team wins. It is a first-time loss for the hockey team. The next scene shows an adult Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez) working as a successful lawyer in a court room setting and the story is off and running.
