The Edge of Darkness trailer promises
everything; the Edge of Darkness
movie drops into a sea of mediocrity due to poor casting choices (i.e., Ronald Craven, the vengeful Dad,
played by Mel Gibson). Mel Gibson plays well as an action star, maybe a
drama star; but, Mel Gibson does not play the vengeful Dad character well.
The movie works more on drama with some suspense rather than an edge-of-your-seat-action film. Mel Gibson lacks his usual vigor in this movie.

Buy a ticket? Yes? No? Maybe?
No. Director Martin Campbell does not pull the acting potential from his cast that can move the movie into the winning arena.
