ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE (Theatrical Release USA 1994)

Ben Meyers’ rating: 2.8|5.0 Starsìì

Ace Ventura: Pet
Detective illustrates the new slapstick comedy. It manages to retain a certain classic comedic styling, but still finds its own unique freshness. It’s comedy—a bit edgy, yes, which requires the PG-13 rating, but it’s fun—fun mixed with a type of youthful stupidity. Jim Carrey plays his established over-the-top, exuberantly-animated self which produces a—good movie.
